1kg spareribs (cut into 7.5cm lengths), grated zest of 1 lemon
1 tbsp ginger juice, 2 tbsps corn flour, 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 2 tsps salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp ground white pepper
125ml water, 125ml beer, 60g honey, 1/2 tsp dark soya sauce, 1/2 tsp salt to taste.
1.Marinate spareribs with the marinade ingredients for minimum 2 hours in the refrigerator.(pic1)
2.Heat oil in the La gourmet Ecopan, place marinated spareibs in hot oil & cover with its lid. Push the knob on the lid to open position to allow the steam to flow out. After 8-10 minutes, open lid & turn over the spareribs. Cover the lid again for another 8 minutes.(pic2-3)
3.Remove spareribs from the La gourmet Ecopan & place into the La gourmet Truly Oriental Toughened Claypot.
4.Add Seasoning, cover with its lid & simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes or until ribs are tender, adjust seasonings to taste & turn off heat. There should be very little gravy now &the ribs are nicely golden. Grate in lemon zest & serve immediately.(pic 5-6)
